Hello, I am teacher Karl from the South East of England in the United Kingdom. I have lived in South Korea with my wife (who is Korean) for over 10 years in total, and have taught English to Korean students for many years. I studied Theology at Seminary, and also studied at the School of Ministry at Bible College. I have a TEFL/TESOL certificate and other certificates. My hobbies are Watercolour painting, pencil drawing, web development and sports. I have an authentic British accent, which you will benefit from having classes with me, and somebody who cares about his students improving their English, encouraging them, not putting pressure on them, but teaching at a good pace according to their level, knowing that learning the English language can be challenging—not to forget, a few laughs and smiles along the way.

Many years ago, my dad and I went to place where they were hosting an evening with 2 famous professional dart players—one had won the world title five times and the other three times. When the evening got started, they announced that some people in the audience would get the opportunity to play a doubles match with the professionals on stage—my name was picked out and I found myself on stage playing a leg of darts with 2 well-known dart players. I was partnered with the five-time world champion and the other man who was picked out was partnered with the three-time world champion. In the end, I was on the winning side—of course, it wasn't because of me, I didn't play well, the professional did, but I can always say with a smile on my face, 'I have beaten the three-time world champion, but he has never beaten me.' The main highlight of the night was not playing darts on stage with the professionals, but it was spending an evening with my dad, doing something together we both enjoyed- a good memory I have never forgotten.
수년 전에 아버지와 저는 두 명의 유명한 프로 다트 선수와 함께 저녁을 주최하는 장소에 갔습니다. 한 명은 세계 타이틀을 5번, 다른 한 명은 세 번 땄습니다. 저녁이 시작되자 그들은 청중 중 일부가 무대에서 프로 선수들과 복식 경기를 할 기회를 얻을 것이라고 발표했습니다. 제 이름이 뽑혔고 저는 무대에서 유명한 다트 선수 2명과 함께 다트 게임을 하고 있었습니다. 저는 5회 세계 챔피언과 파트너가 되었고 뽑힌 다른 남자는 3회 세계 챔피언과 파트너가 되었습니다. 결국 제가 이기는 쪽이 되었습니다. 물론 제가 잘 못해서가 아니라 프로 선수가 그랬다. 하지만 저는 항상 미소를 지으며 말할 수 있다. 그날 밤의 주요 하이라이트는 무대에서 프로 선수들과 함께 다트를 치는 것이 아니라 아버지와 저녁 시간을 함께 하며 함께 즐겼던 것입니다. 잊지 못할 좋은 기억이었습니다.
